The Wee Stream Rod
Following on from the success of the wee loch rod, I have introduced two new small rods. The wee stream rods are available in a 6’6″ 2 and 3wt and a 7’6″ 3 or 4wt. Both are four piece and are delightfully light – perfect for those tiny streams or just for fun when fishing highland lochs full of free rising eager little fish
The Lightweight Range
Due to increasing demands from anglers who wish to fish with lighter lines, here is a range of new rods. The lightweight range includes:
9′ 3,4 and 5wt
10′ 2,3 and4wt

Nymphing Rods
Designed specifically for the nymph fisherman I have available an 11′ 3 or 4wt and a 12′ 4wt rod. The eleven footer is four piece and the twelve footer is five piece. The twelve footer was developed with John McAllum who is a Scottish Internationalist and has captained the Scottish team in the past.
Lana Taylor – here pictured fishing in the Commonwealth Championships held in Canada in August 2016 – captained the Scottish Ladies and was top lady angler using her twelve footer. Well done Lana! Top marks….
Fly Reels
There will shortly be a new range of trout and salmon fly reels available. There will be traditional looking fly reels to up to the minute modern fly reels. All will be supplied in our unique Harris Tweed fly reel cases
The Hebridean
Following the introduction of catch and release for Salmon and Sea Trout, many fisheries are requiring angler use stronger rods and leaders to help subdue fish quicker. This means that fish can be brought to the net quicker and released with minimal time being played before release – thus vastly improving survival. To this end I have introduced the “Hebridean”. This is an 11’3′ #7/8wt that is perfect for salmon and sea trout fishing especially from a boat – a method favoured in the Outer Hebrides. In a very striking dark maroon with a ruby fleck in it, the rod is finished in this case with maroon whippings with a gold trim. Of course as with all my rods you can choose your own colour scheme…. Here it is teamed up with my MTRG reel with the waterproof sealed drag system.
The Limited Edition Wee Loch Rod
Our Limited Edition Wee Loch Rod comes in this stunning American Black Walnut hexagonal hardwood case. It is a thing of beauty and will be much admired by your friends and colleagues. Each one will have a brass plaque inlaid into the case with a name and message should you wish it. What a great gift for that special person (or yourself!) for a birthday present, retirement gift or whatever. I am making one as a wedding gift…..
